Boadicea The Victorious Defender Eau de Parfum is a bold and sophisticated oriental floral fragrance for both men and women, launched in 2024 and created by perfumer Kamila Lelakova. Designed as a modern expression of strength and elegance, it blends rich gourmand nuances, aromatic florals, and deep resinous woods into a complex and highly distinctive composition. Versatile enough for all year round, it can be worn both day and night, offering a commanding yet refined presence that evolves beautifully on the skin.
The fragrance opens with an opulent and multi-layered introduction. The top notes feature red fruits, cognac, honey, licorice, ginger, and grapefruit, creating a striking balance between sweetness, spice, and boozy warmth. Red fruits bring a juicy, slightly tart brightness, while cognac adds a rich, boozy depth. Honey introduces golden sweetness, softened by the herbal-anise nuance of licorice. Ginger adds a sparkling, spicy freshness, and grapefruit provides a crisp citrus lift that keeps the opening dynamic and energetic.
At the heart of the fragrance, the composition becomes more resinous, floral, and textured. Myrrh introduces a smoky, balsamic richness that deepens the scent’s oriental character. Orange blossom adds a luminous floral sweetness, while hay contributes a dry, slightly earthy warmth that feels natural and grounding. Night-blooming jasmine enhances the composition with a sensual, creamy floral facet that unfolds gently, adding elegance and depth to the heart.
The base notes form a powerful, long-lasting foundation that defines the fragrance’s depth and sophistication. Tonka bean brings smooth, almond-like sweetness, while labdanum and Peru balsam add resinous, ambered warmth. Red amber enhances richness and glow, musk softens the composition with a skin-like intimacy, and leather introduces a refined, slightly smoky edge. Benzoin rounds out the base with a sweet, vanilla-like resin that lingers beautifully, ensuring a warm and enveloping dry-down.
Overall, Defender is a complex and charismatic fragrance that blends gourmand richness, floral elegance, and deep oriental warmth. It is designed for individuals who appreciate bold, layered compositions with strong presence and refined craftsmanship.
How to apply:
Spray the Eau de Parfum onto clean, dry skin, focusing on pulse points such as the wrists, neck, and behind the ears from a distance of 10–15 cm. For a softer scent trail, lightly mist onto clothing or hair. Avoid rubbing the fragrance into the skin, as this may alter its development. Reapply as needed throughout the day or evening to maintain projection and longevity.
