Funnel Neck Wrap Trench Coat

The funnel neck sits high and folds over itself in a wrap formation, creating a structured frame around the face that sets this apart from a standard trench collar. Wrap-front silhouette falls open at the front rather than fastening flat, giving the coat a relaxed, draped quality as it moves. Midi length hits well below the knee, adding a sweeping, elongating line that works particularly well over wide-leg trousers. Buckle-tab cuffs at the wrists add a utilitarian detail that nods to classic trench codes without feeling overly traditional. Oversized through the shoulders and chest, the coat sits away from the body rather than pulling in - it layers comfortably over chunky knits as the temperature drops. The wrap front is the defining feature here - it hangs open with intention, moving with you rather than sitting stiffly against the body. That open drape means the coat reads more editorial than classic, and it works best when the outfit underneath has some weight to it. The model pairs it with wide-leg tailored trousers and a fitted long-sleeve top, letting the volume of the coat balance the volume of the trousers - a combination that feels considered without much effort. Chunky loafers or textured ankle boots would keep things grounded at the bottom. For a more relaxed take, try it thrown over straight-leg jeans and a ribbed roll-neck on a weekend trip into town. The high funnel neck means you can skip a scarf entirely on milder days, making it a practical outer layer that still looks sharp. A great choice for city days, casual dinners, and anything in between that calls for a coat with a bit of character.
