Yves Saint Laurent Cinéma Eau de Parfum is a glamorous and radiant oriental floral fragrance that celebrates femininity, confidence, and timeless allure. Created by master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud for the fashion house Yves Saint Laurent, this 2004 composition is inspired by the magnetic charm of classic cinema icons—women who captivate effortlessly through elegance and presence. Designed for women who enjoy warm, sensual fragrances with a luminous floral heart, Cinéma is especially well suited to autumn and winter, while remaining versatile enough for both daytime sophistication and evening glamour.
The fragrance opens with a delicate and sparkling blend of almond blossom, clementine, and cyclamen. Almond blossom introduces a soft, slightly sweet floral nuttiness that feels smooth and comforting from the very first spray. Clementine adds a juicy, sunlit citrus brightness that brings freshness and vibrancy to the opening. Cyclamen contributes a clean, watery floral nuance that enhances the fragrance’s airy elegance. Together, these top notes create an inviting and radiant introduction that feels both refined and effortlessly feminine.
At the heart of Cinéma lies a lush floral bouquet of jasmine, peony, and amaryllis. Jasmine brings a creamy, sensual richness that adds depth and sophistication, while peony introduces a soft, airy floral freshness that lightens the composition. Amaryllis enhances the heart with an elegant, slightly exotic floral tone that ties the bouquet together. This middle phase is opulent yet balanced, evoking the glow of stage lights and the grace of a cinematic leading lady.
As the fragrance settles, it reveals a warm and enveloping base of vanilla, amber, benzoin, and white musk. Vanilla adds a creamy sweetness that enhances the fragrance’s sensuality, while amber introduces a golden warmth that deepens its richness. Benzoin contributes a smooth, resinous sweetness with subtle balsamic undertones, and white musk provides a soft, skin-like finish that lingers gently on the skin. The result is a long-lasting, elegant dry-down that feels comforting, radiant, and beautifully feminine.
Yves Saint Laurent Cinéma Eau de Parfum is ideal for those who appreciate warm floral fragrances with a glamorous, slightly gourmand edge and a timeless sense of sophistication.
