Explore texture, patterns and movement with our combination cufflinks. The earliest known combination lock was excavated in a Roman period tomb in Athens. It featured several dials instead of keyholes. Since then, many improvements have been made, with the modern combination lock being made in 1878 in New York City. Three rotating discs feature enamelled numbering; the number ‘7’ has been enamelled in red to highlight the luck associated with the number and the colour to bring good fortune. Carbon fibre creates a masculine finish to the edge of the cufflinks.
